This biography from the Archives of AskART:
| Note from Larry Le Brune:
We have a signed portrait of a British Royal Air Force Pilot, 133 Eagle Squadron, Dick D. Gudmundsen of Burley Idaho. The picture was done 9/2/42 near London England in a Dispersal Hut while sitting on alert. He was reported 'Missing in Action' few days after the pencil portrait was made. The picture was returned to his 5 year old son, Irel D. Gudmundsen, who had never met his father. It was brought to him on the Freedom Train to Salt Lake City. It was presented to him and his grandfather.
This Portrait has been on exhibit in the United States and Canada.
