David L. Kilmer was born in 1950, son of Kenneth Kilmer and
Jo Ann Jacobs Kilmer in Waterloo, Iowa. Dave and his other
siblings moved around frequently but eventually settled in the Midwest
where Dave graduated from Columbus, Nebraska High School in 1968 .
Upon
graduation and after a brief period at Wayne State College as an art
and business major, Dave was accepted into The Colorado Institute of
Art in Denver, Colorado. He soon graduated with honors and at the
