This biography from the Archives of AskART:
The following is from Carl Dennett Blyth, Sr., January 2004

There is at present, a plaster bust on loan to the Smithsonian, from the Museum at Ogunquit, Maine.

Now as to the subject of the bust, Anne Bulen Dennett

My grandfather, Carl Pullen Dennett, originally from Maine, lived in Boston, MA, and had a summer home in Manchester-by-the-Sea, MA, and later a home in Palm Beach, FL. He most likely was responsible for commissioning this bust of his oldest daughter, Anne Bulen Dennett.

The time for the plaster bust - according to the Smithsonian - was 1946. The bust stands 16" tall on a black marble? base.

Anne Bulen Dennett was born January 27, 1910 in Boston.  After a failed marriage in 1928 and divorce, she was married again in February 1935 to John Summerfield Blyth. That marriage produced two sons, Henry Adams Blyth, III (1935-2003), and Carl Dennett Blyth, Sr. (1937- ), which is me!

The plaster bust was used to cast a bronze bust of my mother, which sits here in my home. The bronze bust was "signed" by F. Lamont '47.

Thanks to my curious son, CDB, Jr. I have spent some time pursuing the origin of the bust.
