Fritz Ketz (1903-1983)
Born in Duisburg on the River Rhine, Ketz grew up in his father's native village in East Prussia, named Karasch near Deutsch-Eylau, now Karas near Ilawa, former Germany now in Poland. He studied at the Stuttgart Art Academy from 1929 until the early thirties.
During WW II he stayed in Germany, in Stuttgart, where his studio was totally destroyed during the air raid in 1943, along with hundreds of his paintings but he himself miraculously su (showing 500 of 1935 characters). |
