| | Born in Tokat, Sivas, Armenia on Jan. 18, 1895. Kangoony was a student at the Jesuit School in Tokat when the Turks massacred his family. He then moved to France and in 1920 settled in San Francisco. Locally he painted many seascapes as well as murals in homes, churches, and theatres. He died in San Francisco on Oct. 2, 1947.
