| Post War California artist, Hayward King studied at the California School of Fine Arts, 1949-1959 receiving his B.F.A. in 1955. Co-founded 6 Gallery in 1954 and studied printmaking in Paris on a Fulbright scholarship from 1955-1956. He attended Sorbonne, Paris from 1955-1957 and was Edward Weston's personal assistant in 1957. From 1958-1962 he was the registrar at the San Francisco Art Institute and was the first African-American museum administrator in the Bay Area, as the registrar of the San (showing 500 of 1874 characters). |
