Helen Keep (1868-1959)
Helen Keep was one of the original members of the Detroit Society of Women Painters and Sculptors. She was for more than thirty years an active and valuable worker in the Society. She held all the offices except that of president. Her excellent judgment, willingness to work for the Society and her talent as an artist will always be remembered as one of the reasons for the success of the organization. Kiss Keep exhibited one of her finest paintings, The Garden at the Detroit Galleries in the Fisher Building, when the Women Painters held their annual show in 1932.
