| Born in Wilmington, CA in 1882. Kohlmeier settled in Los Angeles at an early age and graduated from USC in 1909. After studying at the AIC under Frederick Freer and Wm M. Chase, she studied locally with John H. Rich, Edward Vysekal, and Morgan Russell. She was also a close friend and painting partner of Kathryn Leighton. Kohlmeier died in Los Angeles on July 21, 1955.
