Hendrick Pieter Koekkoek was born in Hilversum in 1843. He is best known for his Dutch and English landscape scenes. He was a member of the famed Koekkoek family painting dynasty that spanned four generations, and ranged from Classicism to Impressionism.

Hendrick Pieter died in England in 1895. |
