Graphic and fine artist, designer, and illustrator Ilonka Karasz, a native of Hungary, moved to the United States in 1913 and settled in Greenwich Village, NYC. She quickly established herself as on of the foremost practitioners and promoters of modern design and decorative arts* in America.
During her career, which spanned six decades, Karasz's art expanded to include furniture, textile, silver, and ceramic* design. She was a member of the Society of Independent Artists*, as well as the (showing 500 of 789 characters). |
