This biography from the Archives of AskART:
| Born in Newark, NJ on Oct. 12, 1897. Klein studied at the NAD. He began his animation career in 1918 on such series as “The Katzenjammer Kids” and “Krazy Kat.” During the 1920s he drew cartoons for Saturday Evening Post, Collier’s, Judge, and New Yorker. In 1934 he moved to Hollywood to work for both the Mintz and Disney studios. In 1939 he returned to the East Coast to work for Terrytoons. He died in Minneapolis, MN in May 1973.
