| Influenced by Thomas Moran, Jacob Koch painted landscapes in a traditional style. He was the son of painter Henry Koch, 1846-1906, and immigrated from Germany to Philadelphia before 1865. He served in the infantry in the Spanish-American War and in 1904, settled in Los Angeles. Watercolor was his favorite medium. (showing 314 of 777 characters). |
