| | Born in Knoxville, TN on Oct. 9, 1869. "Jessie" Kitts studied at the Minnesota School of Fine Arts. By the 1920s she had moved to San Francisco where she further studied at the CSFA. She was active in the local art scene until her death in Alameda, CA on April 23, 1940.
