Versatile painter, scientific illustrator, and art teacher from Osnaburg (East Canton), Ohio, Josephine Klippart started to draw and paint at a very early age and began exhibiting at the Ohio State Fair when she was eleven. She went on to teach at the Columbus Art School and played a major role in the production of the landmark volume Illustration of the Nests and Eggs of the Birds of Ohio.
Always active in Columbus art activities, she founded the Ohio Water Color Soci (showing 500 of 782 characters). |
