Pop artist Karen Kilimnik was born in 1962 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where she now lives. She graduated in 1976 from Temple University in that city.
Her interests and subject matter are eclectic, varying from Tsarist Russia, classical ballet and the Gothic, to today's pop stars, glamour magazines, television soap operas, Sharon Tate, Leonardo di Caprio, Kate Moss, Hugh Grant, Elizabeth Taylor, and the world of fairies and fairy tales. Her work ranges from early "scatter piece" insta (showing 500 of 7007 characters). |
