The following was submitted by the artist in April of 2006:
Karla Klarin, a native of Los Angeles, attended the San Francisco Art Institute (BFA painting) and Otis Art Institute in Los Angeles (MFA, painting). As a child she lived in Italy and France where she was first exposed to art museums and fine art.
In San Francisco she studied with and was deeply influenced by Sam Tchakalian, a noted abstract expressionist. Although her main subjects are the California citysc (showing 500 of 828 characters). |
