Born in Kassel, Germany on March 8, 1872, Hans Meyer was such an outstanding artist that his native city acclaimed him by having Kassel added to his name. After graduating from the University of Leipzig, he studied at the Munich Academy of Art and cofounded the Int'l Art Society.
In 1921 he immigrated to the U.S. and for ten years had a studio in New York City and was guest artist at Amherst State College. He came to Pasadena, California in 1935 for an exhibition and (showing 500 of 1149 characters). |
