| Born in San Francisco, CA on Jan. 23, 1899. Katharine studied painting under her mother, Leila Perry Morrison. She received her B.A. degree from Stanford University in 1921 and her M.A. from Columbia University in 1922. After her marriage to Richard Kahle in 1923, she settled in San Diego. She painted still lifes and was active in the art world there until 1935. In that year she wed Harold McClinton and moved to NYC where she concentrated on writing. Mrs. McClinton was well known as a writ (showing 500 of 784 characters). |
