| The actor James Dean walked into Kenneth G. Kendall’s studio in 1955 and requested that the artist sculpt his bust. The actor died before it was finished and Kendall then spent his remaining years preserving the actor’s memory. Kendall died in Los Angeles on September 3, 2006.
