This biography from the Archives of AskART:
The following, submitted September 2004, is from the artist.

Born in Poland, Krystyna Kacprzynski, who uses the single name of Krystyna, is best known for highly detailed still lifes that are meticulous portraits of fine china, glass and antique porcelain. She also expresses themes of music and angels as well as traditional still life subjects of fruit and flowers.

Krystyna was exposed from childhood to classical music, fine art and classical architecture, and her deep appreciation of things beautiful gave her a desire to create beautiful things. She studied at the university in Wroclaw and Krakow, and her studies in Poland gave her a foundation in the methods and techniques of commonly practiced shortcuts in materials and methods.

In 1985, she moved to America and continued to study her craft and expand her technique. She studied with Italian born artist, Roberto Lupetti, and also worked as a commercial artist and painting restorer.
