| Botanic artist Lindsey Kent began her artistic career photographing flowers and after careful study under David Leffel, Daniel E Greene and Frank Janca she began painting them. She finds inspiration for her work from Dutch flower painter, Jan van Huysum. Lindsey Kent credits careful observation and her own techniques for her success.
Kent founded both the San Diego Society of Botanical Artists and the Botanical Art Institute of San Diego where she has taught for the past three years. She is a member of the American Society of Botanical Artists, The Botanical Artists Guild of Southern California and the California Art Club.
