|  Born in Germany on June 3, 1861. Klingelhofer immigrated to the U.S. in 1894 and settled in Oakland, CA in 1904. He was most active around 1917 when he painted watercolors of Lake Tahoe and the surrounding area. He died in Oakland on Oct. 18, 1947. | Source:
