| Louise Kruger was born in Los Angeles in 1924. Kruger studied at Scripps College and continued at the Art Students League in New York. She was apprenticed to a ship builder where she learned wood joinery and studied foundry techniques in Italy and Ghana. Her work is currently handled by Lori Bookstein Fine Art in New York City.
Exhibited: Museum of Modern Art, 1953, 1959; Art Institute of Chicago, 1957; Whitney Museum, 1960’; University of Nebraska, 1970; Queens Museum (New York), 1975, 1977; Bowdoin College Museum, 1976.
Works held: Bowdoin College Museum (Maine); Brooklyn (NY) Museum; Museo de Arte Moderna de Sao Paulo; New York Public Library; New Britain (CT) Museum.
