| Born in San Francisco, CA on Jan. 7, 1872. In 1893 Louise married Charles Keeler and settled in Berkeley. Her husband was a poet, naturalist, director of the Natural History Museum of the California Academy of Sciences, and a close friend of artist Wm Keith. (Keeler Avenue in Berkeley is named for him.) During the 1890s Mrs. Keeler was a pupil of Keith. Her work was used to illustrate A Light Through the Storm (C.A. Murdock Co., 1894) and her husband's book Idyls of (showing 500 of 969 characters). |
