Marla Korr often returns to still life and figure painting. She
is now concentrating her vision on the rich landscapes of the Hudson
River Valley, as well as the marine images and changing atmosphere of
Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard. Her natural ability and
classical training enable her to express the subtle changes in light
and atmosphere producing paintings which are sensitive and
powerful. Being influenced by both Classical Realism and
Impressionism, her paintings combine a range of feelings with technical
excellence and craftsmanship. Marla also teaches a group of
students, imparting to them the knowledge and methods she has practiced
and the importance of integrity in art.
