Like himself, 6 feet 7 inches and over 300 pounds, the work of Martin Kersels is large and awkward, and many of them are performance-oriented works such as pianos. One of his pianos is called "Baby Drag," attached to a motorized winch. From 1984 to 1993, Kersels was a member of a neo-Dadaist performance group with bizarre costumes and lumbering movements.
