| | Born in NYC on Jan. 23, 1897. Kursh studied at the Cooper Union and ASL in his native city. He was one of the first art editors at Esquire magazine and later was art director for Blaine Thompson Advertising. In the 1930s he moved to southern California and worked for Warner Brothers producing movie posters.
