| | Born in Germany in 1861. Kuban immigrated to Ohio about 1885. About 1898 he settled in southern California. After a few years in Los Angeles, he established a studio in Laguna Beach. His last years were spent in Whittier, CA; he died there on July 10, 1937. | Source:
