| The following is from Richard Gutierrez:
She was born in Latvia in 1921. She received her early training in Munich, Germany, working in theatre Costume History and Design, and in painting before she came to America.
Once in New York she studied at the Art Students League, the School of Visual Arts, the Pratt Graphic Art Center under Frasconi, and then continued at Pratt on a fellowship to work under Michael Ponce de Leon.
She has participated in the major juried print shows since 1962 including the Society of American Graphic Artists, the Silverman Guild of Artists, the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, and the Library of Congress. In 1964 she had several one-man exhibitions throughout the United States.
Her work can be found in the permanent collections of the Cincinnati Art Museum, Wesleyan University, the University of Chicago, and the Library of Congress, to mention but a few.
