| Ruth V. Kidwell Jameson was born in Michigan on May 3, 1898. After graduating from the California College of Arts and Crafts in 1922, Jameson remained in the area and for 50 years taught in the Oakland public schools. In the 1950s she was executive secretary of the Alameda County Education Ass'n. She died in Oakland, California on August 19, 1981.
