| | Born in Ohio on Aug. 4, 1897. Salome was the daughter of the dirigible inventor, Roy Knabenshue. She moved to southern California at an early age and settled in Pasadena. She studied at the CCAC and Otis Art Institute. While working as a draftsman for the family survey company, she painted in her leisure.
