Born and raised in New York, Sol Korby acquired his earliest education in art from the comics and illustrations found in the newspapers and magazines in his parents candy store. Upon finishing high school, he served three years in the army during World War II.
After the war, he worked as an Art Director in various advertising agencies while studying illustration in the evening at the Art Students League with Frank J. Reilly. Upon completion of his studies, he left advertising and worked f (showing 500 of 951 characters). |
