Sueko Kimura was born in Hawaii. She received her BA and MFA degrees from the University of Hawaii. She also attended Chouinard Art Institute, Columbia University, Brooklyn Museum School of Art, and the Art Students League.

Center, the State Department of Education Artmobile, International Savings and Loan, Kaiser Hawaii-Kai Development Co., and the Honolulu Academy of Arts.
