Therese Nolan Krassowski was born in St. Paul Minnesota. Krassowski, even as a child, knew she wanted to be an artist and persevered in that direction. Studying art for five years at the University of Minnesota and at the Minneapolis Art Institute, she graduated with honors in Fine Arts. She married after graduation and moved to West Lafayette, Indiana, where she began graduate studies in art at Purdue University.
