Biography from AskART:
| A painter, sculptor and teacher from Chicago, Thomas Kapsalis was Associate Professor of Drawing and Painting at the Art Institute of Chicago from the mid 1950s to the 1970s. He took his art training at the Institute, earning a Bachelor of Art Education in 1949 and a Master's in Art Education in 1957. He traveled to Germany in 1953 and 1954 on a Fulbright Grant and in 1956 and 1959 had Huntington Harford Foundation Grants.
Exhibition venues included the Corcoran Gallery in Washington DC, the Pennsylvania Academy and the Art Institute of Chicago.
