| | Born in Dayton, NV on June 17, 1878. Keith was raised in Carson City during the boom years of the Comstock Lode. He was working for the Hearst papers in San Francisco at the time of the 1906 earthquake. He then moved to NYC where he was president of the Kit Kat Club for artists.
