The following biography, submitted February 2007, is from the artist, whose previous name was Dee Wewer.
Wewer Keohane is a mixed media artist with works in the permanent
collections of several museums, including the L’Eventail, Paris,
France; National Museum of Women in the Arts, Washington, D.C.; and the
New Orleans Museum of Art. Wewer grew up in Europe and was very
influenced by constant travel and visits to museums in many
