Biography from AskART:
| Wilbur Kurtz is famous for his paintings of Civil War events and the history of Atlanta as well as beautiful landscapes. He also did a great deal of writing about the history of Atlanta. Kurtz's paintings and articles have been published in many books and magazines. He served as historian for the movie "Gone With the Wind" and two movies for Walt Disney - "Song of the South" and "Great Locomotive Chase."
