| | Born and raised in Kyungju, Korea, he came to America in 1986 to study painting at the Pratt Institute. He continued living in New York City. His style shifted from figurative scenes of city life to that more reflective of his Asian sensitivity. His later work was large scale monochromatic suggestive of the Korean landscape. |
