This biography from the Archives of AskART:
| Alan LeQuire graduated with a MFA from the University of North Carolina in Greensboro in 1981. Although he sculpts portrait busts and statues for clients as well as noncommissioned figural sculptures, he is most well known for his public sculptures.
In 1990 LeQuire unveiled "Athena" a 42 foot painted and gilded sculpture of the Greek goddess inside a replica of the ancient parthenon in Nashville's Centennial Park. The sculptor's work, "Musica" a tribute to Nashville's music industry, was unveiled in 2003. The work includes nine dancing figures and is situated near Music Row in Nashville, Tennessee.
