Auguste Leroux was born in Paris in 1871; he was a student of Leon Bonnat. He won the Grand Prix de Rome* in 1894.
Leroux
exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français* beginning in1898; he
became a committee member in 1904. He won a bronze medal at l’Eposition
Universalle* in Paris in 1900. He was awarded Chevalier de la Légion
d’Honneur.
Leroux exhibited in many Parisian galleries including Galerie Allard, Galerie Petit, Galerie Charpentier, and Galerie Mon (showing 500 of 2611 characters). |
