Bengt Lindström was one of Sweden's best-known contemporary artists with a style of distinct colors and figurative works often with distorted faces. He is also well known for outdoor decorations, mural paintings and colorful sculpture. One of his most famous sculptures is the massive Y-sculpture at Midlanda Airport north of Sundsvall, Sweden.
He was born in Storsjo Kapell, Sweden, in 1925, and in 1944 moved to Stockholm where he
studied at the art school of Issac Grüne (showing 500 of 2550 characters). |
