| Bertha Mae Landers is remembered as a painter and etcher and for her work at the Dallas Public Library. Landers was born and raised in Winnsboro, Texas. She attended the Sul Ross State Teachers College in Alpine, Texas (1928-31), receiving a bachelor of science in art. In addition, she studied at the Colorado Springs Fine Art Center and at the Arts Students League of New York under Reginald Marsh. At the Dallas art Institute, she was a student under Olin Travis and studied under Henry Varnum Poo (showing 500 of 1771 characters). |
