Born. Daughter of William S. and Susan Smith Lemly. 1897---Graduated from Belhaven College with a special diploma in art. 1914---Chosen as head of the Art Department at Belhaven College and continued in that position until her retirement in 1941. From 1915-16, she served as business manager of the Belhaven, when the school did not have a President.
