| Living near Indian Wells or Tuba City, Arizona, Big Lefthanded Chou did
"one of the loveliest known early American Indian paintings" observed
by 'white men'. Chou was senn between 1915 and 1912
painting on dark tan-colored cotton cloth with native pigments, and one
of the paintings was galloping horses.
