| | Born in New York on June 24, 1900. Lippincott studied at the Pratt Institute where she won a bronze medal. Her family was related to the Lippincott publishing dynasty and had a large home in Oak Park, IL. She was a resident of Los Angeles by 1934, and for 30 years taught at Belmont High School.
