Charles Langley did a painting of the interior of the fascinating studio of William Merritt Chase in the Tenth Street Studio building and from 1892 – 1895, had his studio in the same building---thus affording him the ability to study
this visually rich space.
Fellow artists such as Langley with studios
in the Tenth Street building had easy access to the visual treasures of
Chase’s studio and therefore it is not surprising that so many of them
used the space as subject matter. Bu (showing 500 of 911 characters). |
