A painter, illustrator and teacher, Charles Lennox Wright I usually signed his paintings C. Lennox Wright. He was married to Charlotte Elizabeth Gardner who painted and copied paintings of Howard Pyle.
Wright lived in New York City, where he had a rotagravure business and did very little painting - even though his family have found a few paintings. He was "The Pioneer of Zinc Etching" which revolutionized photographic reproduction, according to the NY Historical Society quarterly dated A (showing 500 of 1106 characters). |
