Born in Eindhoven, Holland in 1944, Cornelis Le Mair studied portrait and figure painting at the Antwerp Academy of Fine Arts. Graduating cum laude in 1968, he returned to his hometown as an independent artist.
Originally classified as a fine art painter, he gradually developed a broader technique with raised painting textures; without losing his connection with the traditional trade of painters. His style and craftsmanship have often been compared with those of the “Old Mast (showing 500 of 1540 characters). |
