A native of Taiwan, Liu moved to the United States in his
childhood. In his youth, he distinguished himself as a gifted
artist and was awarded first place in the coveted National Scholastic
Art Competition. Liu is a graduate of The Ringling School of Art
and Design in Sarasota, Florida. He has worked as an animator and
background painter for Walt Disney Feature Animation on feature films
such as Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, Lion King, Mulan, and Atlantis.
